| >>>How Ryan hooked up with Micheal Moore - written Oct 2002 | |||
| Right after I moved up here to NYC, I was looking for work. My friend Bennett was told that Michael Moore's was looking for someone to do an animation for his upcoming movie. I sent them to this webpage, and they liked what they saw. So I went a met with Michael and his editor. They talked about what they wanted and based off that I went home and did a bunch of drawings (Some of which I have posted above) Then I started doing storyboards. (Some of which you also see posted above) then I made the final images. In the final images all the elements were on separate layers. (Like all the arms, head, guns and bodies were on separate layers) it was planed for all this animation to do done in after effects. Originally I had a production company down in Dallas they were going to the animation, but near the end they couldn't do it. So Kurt (Michael's editor) called on Flicker Lab a NYC animation house. They ended up doing all the animation in flash. They really took what I had done and made it super Amazing! If you haven't yet Go see this movie, it's Amazing. One of Michael Moor's best! |
